Charles was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on January 1, 1938. He was the son of Charles and Mary Davis. Charles grew up in a Christian home, and he attended church regularly. He accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age, and his faith was a guiding force in his life.

Charles graduated from high school in 1956. He then attended Auburn University, where he earned a degree in business. After college, Charles served in the United States Army for two years. He was stationed in Germany, and he enjoyed traveling throughout Europe.

After his military service, Charles returned to Birmingham and began his career in business. He worked for a number of different companies, and he eventually became a successful entrepreneur. He founded his own company, Davis Industries, in 1975. Davis Industries was a manufacturing company, and it grew to become one of the largest employers in Birmingham.

Charles was a successful businessman, but he was also a devoted husband and father. He married his wife, Mary, in 1962. They had three children, Charles Jr., Mary, and John. Charles was a loving and supportive father, and he always put his family first.

Charles was also a devoted friend. He was always there for his friends, and he was always willing to help out in any way he could. He was a kind and compassionate man, and he was loved by all who knew him.

Charles passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023, at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
